Lovely Lil’ Watercolors in June

Lovely Lil’ Watercolors in June has 30 images, one for each day of the month of June 2021. The original watercolors were painted on 3”x3” 140lb, hot press and cold press watercolor paper. The theme for this project was to paint desert botanical florals. This self-made challenge gave me the opportunity to experiment with different paper textures, vibrant colors and inking. I wanted to create bold but delicate images by mixing medias, ink and watercolor. All images are based on photographs I took while I was visiting Tucson, AZ.
