DRAWTOBER

2020

In this challenge I decided to create botanical drawings within the shape of a circle allowing myself to push parts of the drawing outside of the perimeters of the given boundaries. This challenged me to create a dynamic composition and gave me opportunities to release some tension in each illustration. Living in NYC and having roots in Tucson, I decided to alternate plants I love from both places. This project helped me feel nostalgia and belonging during a difficult period of the pandemic.
